2021 Hubei Enterprise-University-Institute Cooperation Matchmaking Event: Session of Manufacturing Innovation and Development in Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi City Cluster took place in Jingzhou on the morning of September 9. The event fully leveraged Hubei's strength in science & education resources to promote innovation cooperation in Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi City Cluster, and push forward the innovation and high-quality development of manufacturing in the cluster.

Jingzhou Dafang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (Dafang Intelligent) is engaged in the R&D of petroleum fracturing equipment. In the event, the company reached an agreement of intent with Yangtze University. Under the agreement, the university will provide technical support for the R&D of the company. According to Ou Ya, Vice General Manager of Dafang Intelligent, the clustered development of Yichang, Jingzhou, Jingmen and Enshi has created an opportunity for the company's future development in Yichang, Jingmen and Enshi.

In the event, 9 universities in Hubei, including Yangtze University and Hubei University of Technology, signed agreements on 9 cooperative projects with industrial enterprises in Yichang, Jingzhou, Jingmen and Enshi, and more than 100 enterprises explored technical cooperation. According to the technical demand of enterprises in Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi City Cluster, 389 intelligent manufacturing technology achievements were released. Through a theme forum, achievement and demand release, and project signing, the event aimed to build a cooperation and exchange platform for governments, enterprises, universities and research institutes.

Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi City Cluster is an important bond linking the cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, as well as an important support for the high-quality development of Hubei. The city cluster is vast and rich in resources. The cities in the cluster, which are geographically interconnected and industrially complementary, have respective strengths and features. Since the beginning of this year, the four cities have held a joint meeting, established a working mechanism, conducted persistent exchanges and cooperation, and made frequent contacts. Particularly, in terms of industrial collaboration, Yidu of Yichang and Songzi of Jingzhou have jointly built a national fine chemical industry agglomeration area with an output value of 100 billion yuan; Yichang, Jingzhou and Jingmen have jointly applied for the status of national phosphorus chemical industry cluster and received a subsidy of 10 million yuan from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. At the next stage, Jingzhou will vigorously promote the deep integration of the industry chains with the innovation chain, continue to implement the project of "technical renovation and manufacturing rejuvenation",persist in enterprise-university-institute-consumer cooperation, and keep improving the capabilities of corporate and industrial innovations, so as to develop into an important growth pole of Hubei and promote the high-quality development of Hubei's manufacturing.
